1941 Lincoln Zephyr Chair
As Americans, Lisa believes strongly that we must preserve our history. One of her passions is to breathe new life into uncommon pieces, to revitalize decrepit, old, tired car parts, machine components or even architectural elements and transform them into furniture and signature design elements.
One of Lisa’s most challenging and rewarding pieces is the Zephyr chair, and it’s a showstopper. Lisa designed this chair to pay homage to the nostalgia of the 1940’s. Using the hood of a 1941 Lincoln Zephyr, the attention to detail from days gone by is alive in this chair. Custom red leather upholstery and black leather piping are a true representation of the era. Chrome accents highlight the classic black exterior, a crown jewel of craftsmanship. The chrome was sent 1200 miles away to be restored to its original glory.
This Lincoln Zephyr symbolizes the last year of automobile production in the United States before the industry came to a halt to concentrate domestic resources on the WWII effort.
“I want to keep history alive. I believe our past is the pathway to our future.” – Lisa Davenport
